Faculty Advisors
Each student enrolled in a curriculum is assigned to an
advisor, normally a faculty member who
teaches in that curriculum. If you are not enrolled in a
particular curriculum, a counselor
will be happy to assist you.
Your advisor may assist by:
- Suggesting appropriate courses
- Approving changes to your schedule (drop/add)
- Discussing academic and related problems
- Guiding you to find additional help
- Evaluating your academic progress
- Evaluating job and career opportunities
- Guiding you in choosing a four-year college for transfer
Contacting Your Advisor
If you do not know who your assigned advisor is, call or stop
by the Counseling Center. You can find contact information for
your advisor in the
employee email
directory. You should contact your advisor during designated
office hours (posted on faculty members'
office doors).
If you have difficulty contacting your advisor or one of your
instructors, check with the Academic Division
Office in E109 for help. Be sure to see your advisor
early in the registration period. |
