Disability Support Services is part of Academic Support Services at Blue Ridge Community College. Its mission is to provide students with disabilities the support services needed to access college classes and events. Services are open to any student with a disability who provides appropriate documentation. The Disability Services Coordinator will assist students by coordinating accommodations in order to meet the needs of the student.

The accommodations students with disabilities receive are based on the recommendations made by qualified evaluators. The requested accommodations must relate directly to the disability and the relationship must be documented in the reports. Each student’s request is reviewed on a case-by-case basis to ensure that individual needs are met.
